♀ "In February this year, the Council finally approved the ratification of the Istanbul Convention on combating violence against women. But it is imperative that all 27 member states, without exception, do the same.
And we must adopt a directive criminalizing all forms of violence against women, including rape, based on lack of consent.
It's not enough to proclaim our values. We have a moral obligation to apply them and to hold those who don't respect them accountable. Silence and inaction are forms of collaboration with violence."
