RT by @lukeming: This post is long overdue.

Myself & Íde would like to take this opportunity as the new year begins to unfold, to thank each and every customer of Little Collins across the last 5 years+. It’s been a life-changing journey on a number of levels since we opened our doors in Galway on November 22nd, 2018, and we’re so grateful to the Irish public for their curiosity, good will, support and sense of humour on this journey with us. We will never give up in our fight for fair, logical and progressive cannabis laws in this country. The battle will be taken all the way to the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg if necessary; after all the water that’s gone under this bridge, there is nothing in the world stopping us crossing it to the other side.

2023 was the most difficult year of our lives both personally and professionally, but in it’s last days, it was also the most rewarding. It brought a 3rd shop, with the initial excitement & then growing pains associated therein; it brought personal challenges with a new-found ferocity; it brought death in the family and outside of it; then finally, it brought life into our lives, in the form of a baby daughter, 2 weeks ago today.

As 2024 reveals itself, so will the changing face of Little Collins. We have approx 20 people working with us, across Galway, Kilkenny, Dublin and now the UK. We’ve already begun to empower key members of this team to step up and take ownership of the company, in a figurative sense firstly, and later, in an actual sense. In the past we’ve had offers from off-shore investors to purchase a substantial stake in this company. However, we decided this should never happen. The ownership of Little Collins will always remain Irish, and it is our wish to reward the people who have stuck with us on the journey with a real, tangible stake in the future of cannabis in Ireland.

But again… A huge than…
