RT by @loucas_fourlas: #OTD 63 years ago, the Republic of Cyprus was born. Turkey, Greece & UK became guarantors of the Republic after signing the Treaty but in 1974🇹🇷invaded and illegally occupies almost half 🇨🇾 to this day.
The Treaty of Guarantee states that
🇬🇷,🇹🇷&🇬🇧 prohibit any activity aimed at promoting, directly or indirectly, either union of Cyprus with any other State or partition of the Island.
Turkey has not only breached the Treaty signed 63 years ago, but also violates all UNSC resolutions. All these violations and breaches come at no consequence whatsoever. Turkey’s representative of occupied Cyprus Ersin Tatar who supposedly is a Turkish Cypriot, seeks partition or even union with Turkey. He not only violates the treaty but also the constitution of the Republic of Cyprus. His collaboration with the occupying forces is high treason against his country.
