Earlier this month, many Georgians exercised their constitutional right to protest against the anti-democratic Russian-style "foreign agents" law. Now, the 🇬🇪 government is threatening to "severely punish" and prosecute protestors. Unacceptable!

This is why I with @VladDanGheorghe wrote to the 🇬🇪 Prime Minister. This is a crucial moment for Georgia and the manner in which Georgian Government deals with protestors and members of civil society will determine the perspective of the EU candidate status.
