En amerikansk sjuksköterska som var 26 dagar i Gaza. När hon fick veta att ambulanser bombats utanför Shifa-sjukhuset ringde hon sina palestinska kollegor och frågade om någon av dem lyckats fly söderut.
Hon: "Did anyone of you get out?"
De: "This is our community, this is our family, these are our friends. If they are going to kill us, we are going to die saving as many people as we can."
Hon: "If I can ever have an ounce of the heart that you have, I will die a happy person."
Hon: "The people that stayed behind are heroes."
