RT by @hildebentele: Using civilians as human shields and locating military facilities in populated areas are grave violations of IHL. This is what the Hamas terrorist organisation is doing.

Firing rockets indiscriminately from hospitals and medical facilities at Israeli civilians from built up populated areas, is not just a crime against human life, it is a double war crime.

On the contrary, IDF takes every feasible precaution available to mitigate unintended civilian harm, including warning of operations that may cause harm to civilians, in Arabic, through media, social media, dropping leaflets, civic and international organizations. Under IHL, warnings should be effective and in advance. IDF is complying with these requirements.

Against these efforts, the terrorist organisation Hamas tells civilians in Gaza to ignore the warnings, to die in their homes , to protect their rocket sights, their tunnels and their leaders with their lives.

Hamas does not care how many civilian die. It purposely places them in harms way, forcing them to protect their terrorist arsenal that was unleashed on the Israeli people on October 7th, and over the past week, including as a write this tweet.

We comply with IHL. Terrorist don’t.
