@CaroleInnes0 @Fintrayloon @AFCCT Long answer
It absolutely did not.
What seems to have happened is that a member of the former council administration (possibly Douglas Lumsden) approached AFC and suggested that, rather than pursuing its Kingswells development, it build a stadium 2/

@CaroleInnes0 @Fintrayloon @AFCCT though, does include a space for a stadium. That in no way implies that the Council would put funds into a stadium. Council staff have had conversations with the club about its interest in building a stadium at the beach but the club never provided any information4/

@CaroleInnes0 @Fintrayloon @AFCCT about how it planned to fund that. A few weeks ago one of the council’s directors wrote to AFC seeking information about the club’s intentions and how it planned to fund any development. The club then released its response to the council. Then all this kicked off in the media.5/

@CaroleInnes0 @Fintrayloon @AFCCT at the beach. The Council has no knowledge of what he may or may not have said to AFC. The Council, though, never took any decision to invite AFC to build a new stadium at the beach or offered to put any funds into that. The Beach Masterplan,3/
