@Fintrayloon @CaroleInnes0 @AFCCT Just so you know..

The Council's reasons for not putting money to a stadium include:

It’s a private development.

They want to focus investment of the Council’s very finite resources on vital Council services - schools, libraries, roads, transport, etc. 1/

@Fintrayloon @CaroleInnes0 @AFCCT AFC hasn’t got the resources to progress a stadium itself, and we've known that for years. A cynic might suggest getting the Council to say it would not put money into a stadium is an attempt to shift the blame for no new stadium onto the City Council. 2/

@Fintrayloon @CaroleInnes0 @AFCCT The Council believes the quality of the economic impact assessment is debatable. They understand for example, that although the assessment makes great play of bringing rugby games to the new stadium:

1. There has been no approach made to the SRU 3/

@Fintrayloon @CaroleInnes0 @AFCCT which they understand has absolutely no interest in making use of such a stadium

2. To host rugby games the pitch area would have to be bigger than is apparently intended.
(I know this is true)

So, I kinda get their point.
