If Johnson gets his way and is exonerated, we have a serious problem in this country. The Parliamentary Privileges Committee and the Tory government will lose all credibility, and lying in Parliament at a time of national crisis will be seen to be normal. Democracy ruined.

I hope the Parliamentary Privileges Committee understands the responsibility it carries today.
Public money spent on a defence dossier is already clearly undermining the process.
And no, prime ministers removed in disgrace should not have an honours list on departure.
