@catherinerowett We need 100% state-funding of politics and a system in which it is illegal to use donations, favours, gifts, holidays or entertainment to gain political loyalty. This would permanently disempower the mainstream political parties—both of which are just self-interest groups. If it’s privately funded—it’s obviously not democratic! I reached this conclusion 50 years ago when I was 18, however so far I have not met a single person who agrees with me!
