Our govt’s approach to “stopping” the boats is to deter them from making the journey.
Here’s the flaw:
The French spend c£5,000 per annum per illegal migrant
We spend over c£50,000 per annum per illegal migrant
We are 10 times as generous. That is no deterrence!!
