That vindicated unionists.

So in the Appeals Court he successfully argued it had been subjugated, thinking that might be more publicly palatable. It wasn’t.

He thinks that might be less contentious. He will be proven to be wrong.

The Acts of Union (article 3) created the current Parliament. If Parliament can set aside Article 6 of these fundamentally important constitutional acts, could it equally abolish itself? I don’t think so.
