The United States, Egypt and Qatar have laid out a proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages. The people of Gaza, hostages, and their families all deserve an opportunity to have a peaceful, normal life. I call on the parties of the conflict to seize this opportunity and conclude the agreement without further delay.
