3/6 In the aftermath of the disaster, numerous organizations and initiatives were launched to improve the safety and rights of garment workers, including the Bangladesh Accord on Fire and Building Safety and the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety.

5/6 After the accident, the new Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh was established and huge progress has been made since. Moreover, a new International Accord on Health and Safety was promoted by unions and brands in August 2021.
