RT by @StevensHelga: With great sadness we share the information about passing away of an Auschwitz Survivor Claude Bloch.

Claude was born in November 1928 in Lyon. He was deported to Auschwitz from Drancy on 31 July 1944 in a transport of 1309 Jews.

On the selection platform at Auschwitz II-Birkenau Claude stood on his mother’s right, not knowing what might happen to him, but she pushed him over to the men’s side. He lost sight of her and was never to see her again.

He was registered as B-3692

In winter 1944 he was transferred to Stutthof camp and liberated during evacuation of this camp. He was then taken to Malmö in southern Sweden.

In July 1945 he regurned to France. He became an accountant.
