Yesterday was #WorldWetlandsDay! Many northern landscapes are covered by carbon-rich #wetlands, known as peatlands.

Due to #ClimateChange, forests 🌳 could outgrow 20% of peatlands, leading to a release of roughly 4% of European soil organic carbon.
