More than 100 transport workers lost their lives to Covid. Each one ensured the city kept moving and that the nurses, doctors and key workers we depended on could save the lives of others. Today we honoured their incredible work and remember them.

The new memorial stands as a permanent feature on London’s landscape; a place where Londoners can come to remember, reflect - to celebrate their cherished memories - and to say thank you. It breaks our hearts that they are not with us to see how thankful we are to them.
