@LHSummers @PIIE @YouTube It was shocking for us as legislators from Europe when we found out during a trip to Washington last month that the US pays 600 bn USD every year for interest payments.
This is more than the GDP of Belgium or Austria.
It is 2 times the GDP of Portugal or 3 times the GDP of Greece
