Re @GerardAraud Literally, only the French saw a problem. The commissioners were led by Thierry Breton, the EP groups by Stéphane Séjourné, both entirely dependent on the Élysée. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out who inspired their sudden opposition. To pretend otherwise is disingenuous.
