Sub-Saharan Africa has a young, vibrant population. But it also has a high rate of education exclusion and shortage of qualified 🧑🏾🏫👩🏾🏫.
To turn things around, 🇪🇺 will #InvestInEducation €100M to the Initiative. #TeamEurope 🇧🇪🇫🇮🇫🇷🇩🇪, @_AfricanUnion & @UNESCO are onboard as well.

The Initiative supports partners’ objectives: more teachers, better teaching. It focuses on:
🎓 improving the attractiveness of the profession by enhancing its status & working conditions
👩🏾🏫 boosting the training, encouraging innovation & peer-learning
🧐 education research

The Initiative will build on and complement national efforts #TransformingEducation.
It’s a key component of the #GlobalGateway Investment Package for Africa, which was agreed at #AUEUSummit in February.
