More than a year ago the 🇪🇺 started organising medical evacuations of Ukrainian patients to relieve the pressure on 🇺🇦's healthcare system.
Today we mark more than 2,000 transfers of Ukrainian patients to hospitals across Europe, coordinated by the #EUCivilProtectionMechanism.

I am grateful for the 🇪🇺-wide solidarity in welcoming by now more than 2,000 vulnerable patients from 🇺🇦 at a time in need.
