@GreenPartyMolly How much of the "it can't be installed fast enough", and to a lesser extent "more expensive" angles are due to any new atomic project becoming a decades long court battle?

I could imagine a rapid-deployment scheme that used established designs (hasn't France been cranking them out serially for decades now?) and maybe used a national-security exemption to short circuit the usual public dispute process. Energy policy does feel at least peripheral to national security.
