Yes, but ... At this point it is probably less about Ukraine for Russia, than how to avoid a coup or revolution or a breakup of the Russian empire.
... which might sound like a good condition for truce on the condition of GTFO. However, Russia probably cannot survive getting half a million angry and armed veterans home over a few days. It needs to keep them somewhere far away, and if that is killing and getting killed in Ukraine, that at least postpones the problems for Russia.
