Qatar is alleged of having attempted to influence decisions in the EU Parliament via corruption. Therefore as Greens/EFA and I as rapporteur will vote against the proposed visa liberalisation for #Qatar next week.

We want to make sure that the process was not externally influenced, and we want the European Parliament to draw the right consequences. When a state tries to influence democratic decisions, there must be tough consequences.
