Next Stop: supported community training centre in Godawari. Tharu women farmers are increasing their yields with climate resilient agriculture practices & can now produce enough to sell their 🍅🧅🥦 in the market

Close by, they visited a mushroom farm. With initial support from Germany, they now produce 500 Kg of mushrooms a day, employing 15 women and 10 men. They even grow a rare pink mushroom.

Back in Dhangadhi, they shared the impressions of their visit with journalists from Sudurpaschim. It’s a beautiful province, and their citizens and elected leaders are working hard to improve their lives

Gopal Hamal, the mayor of Dhangadi, shared his vision for the city, and the challenges he faces. From declaring the city a single use plastic free zone to increasing access to drinkable water, he knows that Dhangadhi can be a good example for the entire province.
