This morning, the EU Delegation to Namibia participated in the opening of the conference “Museum Education Conference”, organised under the EU-funded project “Museum Outreach Programme”, implemented by Goethe Institute Namibia and UNAM.

The Programme capacitates heritage professionals and selected indigenous communities in basic object conservation and exhibition development. This should culminate in the availability of a critical mass of competent academic and professional heritage practitioners in Namibia

This brought together representatives of municipal, state and private museums, including living museums, to exchange practices in museum development & education. Opened by Prof Dr. Herman Beyer, Ms Andapewoshali Ashipala, Ms Agnes Shiningayamwe.
