The attacks on humans by big carnivores, some even with a fatal outcome, create constant fear amongst the local people. The conservation of large carnivores will mainly depend on their acceptance by people who share with them their everyday space. @borbolycsaba

We have to realise that with the killing of sheep and other farm animals by wolves in the alpine pasture areas, the willingness of farmers to manage alpine pastures is decreasing massively. The goal remains to amend the Habitats Directive. @Institut_IRE
