RT by @ECDC_EU: As the @WHO_Europe Region steps up measures to respond to , the lessons of are more vital than ever.

While the viruses behind the two scenarios are very different, a pillar of our response remains the same - the need for strategic collaboration and partnerships with a range of stakeholders, from ministries of health to politicians, policymakers, civil society organisations and ultimately the public at large.

Here's a look back at how we worked hand-in-hand with the European Union 🇪🇺 to combat the pandemic, both in Eastern Partnership countries and beyond.

A partnership that deserves to be recognized for saving lives during one of the biggest health emergencies in generations.

A partnership that extends beyond emergencies to encompass a range of public health priorities, strengthening health systems as a whole.

My statement below - imbued with gratitude to our EU health partners across the spectrum. And hope that we can build on this foundation, well into the future.
