@bbcnickrobinson Thanks for engaging, Nick, but I don’t think this is playing with words. Politicians are drawn to the idea of taxing “the oil companies” or “the banks” because it sounds like someone else will pay. But almost all taxes end up being paid by (in your phrase) ordinary people.
