Yesterday I met with Superintendent Caroline Hemingway, @gmpolice lead on knife crime, to discuss the work she has been doing with @GM_VRU to take knives off our streets, including showing me the staggering array of weapons they have already recovered.

@gmpolice @GM_VRU Of course, although the work the police are doing is important, its also vital we recognise that this is only a small part of the wider picture. @GM_VRU is working with local communities to tackle violent crime.
