1/ We welcome the passage of @MpHendrick Co-operatives, Mutuals and Friendly Societies Bill as it received Royal Assent last week. We agree with @griffitha that the mutual business model has a rich history across the UK.

Redcar and Cleveland means the world to me but for too long, we’ve been told we should put up with second best. I can’t stand by and let that go on. That’s why I’m standing to be selected as your Labour MP again.

Sad to hear of the death of my former local MP in London . Soon after my election to the House, I approached her to let her know I'd moved into her constituency. She said to me drily "I'll give you a list of surgery dates, any problems come and see me!" RIP Glenda.

Re @paulada44880195 @FreddieBailey96 @markhendrickmp Fuming that your MP didn't vote, when you don't know why? Kangerooish judgement 🦘? I couldn't be in London for a 10pm vote last night and attend hospital for a medical procedure in Lancashire at 7:30am this morning. Don't worry I was twinned with more than 200 Conservative MPs!

7.5m people will pay the price for the Tory mortgage penalty.
The situation is so dire that repossessions are up 50%.
It's a true betrayal of the idea that if you work hard, you'll get on.
The Tories can't tackle the problem, because they are the problem.

Re @PAShanky @tomorrowsmps The Co-op Party can only endorse a single candidate for a constituency. Usually, it is conditional not only that candidate is a Coop Party member but a member of the national Coop Party Parliamentary Panel too. The candidate, if selected, would stand as Labour and Coop Candidate.

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/MpHendrick/st

Re @priortitchfield @tomorrowsmps Technically, possible, but from my experiences the branches would come together to select a single candidate. That is on the tin "Cooperative". Very unusual to pitch one against another.
