On duty yesterday and today at the EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly in Brussels trying to 'patch up' the relationship post-Brexit. Good start to what is likely to be a long process.

@georgeeaton He was also I believe responsible for publishing a mock-up photo of alleged Britsh Soldiers supposedly urinating on Iraqi prisoners in Iraq. I was informed by a defence minister at the time that the photo was a fraud and taken in barracks in my constituency.

@JeremyCliffe What about years of US and British post 2WW efforts to pacify Germany through it's constitution and limitations to it's armed forces; and having had a CDU Chancellor Merkel for 16 years who came from the East may also have something to do with German attitudes. Not just the left.
