I’ve just returned from an inspiring visit to Sierra Leone 🇸🇱. Proud to see the transformative effects of #UKAid in the lives of so many people across Sierra Leone, particularly women and girls.

Across Sierra Leone, #UKAid support has helped reduce maternal deaths by 30% & child deaths by 20% since 2016 - honoured to meet staff and patients at Lungi Hospital.

Every woman should be able to access family planning - if she wants too.
In Masiaka today Dr John told me how #UKAid is supporting health systems for rural communities in Sierra Leone & helping 460,000 people access family planning services, including adolescent girls.
Fantastic evening meeting 🇸🇱 leaders, from #WomensRights activists to business leaders.
I heard from the experts the progress they’ve seen & challenges they face, and how 🇬🇧 support centres on unlocking the potential women & girls on all aspects of society.
Now heading to Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 to see how 🇸🇱 🇬🇧 partnership has improved the lives of millions of people.
In the last decade, #UKAid in 🇸🇱 has helped:
