Miriam and I attended the annual 'Santa swim' and water polo game organised by the Grand Hotel Excelsior in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund. I thanked the organisers and participants who braved the lower sea temperatures to help those going through a difficult time.

Today, we visited The Royal Marsden Hospital, where we had a meeting with Dr Mark Ethell, during which we discussed the treatment provided to Maltese patients. We also visited the intensive care facilities and a private ward for patients receiving treatment for blood cancers.
