I met with HE Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of #Georgia, presently on a visit to #Malta.
Discussions focussed primarily on regional matters, both observing that Malta & Georgia are placed in turbulent regions, which to a large extent also shape their policies.

Today we commemorate the signing of the Schuman Declaration on 9 May 1950. It was an ambitious plan back then aimed at securing long-term peace in a war-torn Europe. The Schuman Declaration laid the foundations for the #EuropeanUnion that we live in today.

It was a pleasure to meet His Majesty King Charles III together with fellow Commonwealth leaders. This was an opportunity for us to reflect on the future of the Commonwealth, with an emphasis on the potential of youths to promote the principles of peace & sustainable development.
