Through regular meetings, the ARUC provides me with updates on their mission to discouraging and delaying cannabis use through legal regulation and responsible enforcement as well as promoting harm reduction practices in the interest of public health and safety.

Today I had a meeting with the Authority for the Responsible Use of Cannabis at Sant’Anton Palace. The ARUC, as stipulated in the relevant legislation, are in the process of establishing an effective and efficient system that ensures the responsible use of cannabis.

Today we met with Matthew Borg, President of the Malta Polo Club, & some of the polo players, who on Saturday, 10th June, will compete in the EquestriMalta Cawnpore Cup in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.
Also present for the launch was Max Zammit, CEO of EquestriMalta.

Earlier today, I had the pleasure to welcome at Sant’Anton Palace the Executive Committee of the Malta International Shipowners Association. This was a good occasion to discuss the history of the Association and prospects for the future.

We agreed on the important role that sports play in consolidating dialogue and solidarity among nations. The values of co-existence and unity were central to the exchanges, with both sides expressing our interest in cooperating and sharing of best practices in these fields.

This morning, I met with His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri, Grand Duke of #Luxembourg, who is presently in Malta to attend the 2023 Games of the Small States of Europe. The meeting came as a further reaffirmation of the excellent ties that exist between the two countries.

Together with the Maltese delegation in Canada, we attended a symbolic ceremony during which the Maltese flag was raised in Malta Park - an area that has links with the Maltese Canadian community.

On Saturday afternoon, we had the pleasure of meeting members of the Maltese community in #Hamilton, Ontario. We talked about their life here, and some of them told us that even though they left Malta around 60 years ago, they still feel a strong connection to their homeland.

On Saturday morning, we enjoyed visiting the establishment run by the Zammit family, "Nannu's Pastizzi", in Mississauga, Canada. It is great to see Maltese people having success abroad while promoting #Maltese products.

I just had an interesting meeting with the Maltese Canadian Business Network Association. The ties between 🇲🇹 & 🇨🇦 were discussed from different angles, ranging from ideas on initiating & strengthening business relations to education opportunities & cultural tourism exchanges.
