R to @presidentmt: I am impressed to note that while the community in South Australia may not be as numerous as in other states, it is quite remarkable to see that there are at least seven associations and other entities dedicated to assisting the Maltese community here.

This morning I welcomed H.E. Simon Pullicino at Sant’Anton Palace to hand him letters of credence accrediting him as #Malta’s Ambassador to #Qatar. We discussed the excellent relations between the two countries and the prospects for investments and commercial exchanges.

Today I had the pleasure to welcome members of the Service Dogs Malta Foundation (SDMF) at Sant’Anton Palace as part of their celebrations for the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸.

On the occasion of the Feast of St Dominic, yesterday I attended a Pontifical High Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of Fair Havens St Dominic in Valletta. The Celebration was led by Mgr George Frendo, Archbishop Emeritus of Tirana Durres.

On the eve of the feast of St Dominic, the King’s Own band kept up the tradition as during the Saturday morning march they entered the Presidential Palace in #Valletta and played the Maltese National Anthem. Once again, I wish a happy feast to the whole Dominican community.

On Friday evening, Miriam and I visited the exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of Operation Husky: the historic Allied Invasion of Sicily. Afterwards, we attended the concert by the Armed Forces of Malta at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

It was a pleasure to attend the musical and instrumental concert by St Paul’s Band on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Soċjetà Mużikali San Pawl in St Paul's Bay. I would like to congratulate this association on this anniversary and wish them a happy feast.

Today I met with the Secretary General of the Mediterranean Tourism Foundation, Mr Andrew Agius Muscat. We talked about the Foundation’s work in promoting sustainable tourism growth across the #Mediterranean by transforming the region into an area of prosperity.
