I had a very interesting meeting with Chairperson Ms Mariella Dimech and Board members of the Authority for the Responsible Use of Cannabis (ARUC), during which we discussed at length the developments related to the establishment of not-for-profit cannabis associations in Malta.

The Sacra Militia Foundation donated a series of publications to the Sant’Anton Palace #Library on the occasion of the 20th anniversary since its inception. The aim of the Sacra Militia Foundation is to study the history of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St John.

This morning Miriam and I visited @CaritasMalta’s therapeutic facilities in San Blas. It was a pleasure to meet with the residents following the drug rehabilitation programme and to listen to how they are rebuilding their self-respect with the help of the staff.

I presented the Letters of Credence to Malta’s Ambassador-Designate to the Kingdom of Belgium, Mr Clint Tanti. Mr Tanti gave me a good overview of his plans to broaden dialogue between Malta and Belgium, especially in the context of climate change, renewable energy and transport.

This morning we commemorated the uprising of 1919 in front of the Sette Giugno Monument in Valletta. We salute the memory and bravery of the six people who sacrificed their lives and of the hundreds more injured in the summer of 1919.
