More and more people are refusing to pay the licence fee. This is a regressive unjust tax which should go.
Instead of replacing it with a broadcasting charge on ordinary families as the government plans, we should tax the Big Tech companies.

PBP warned lifting the eviction ban would mean people being evicted into homelessness. That is happening now.
The government decided to enable more homelessness to facilitate landlords. Why? Because they are a government of landlords for the landlords.

Italy has just announced it will hit the big banks with a new tax on their mega profits - we should do the same.
The banks are making a killing by hoarding the interest rate rises, hitting mortgage holders but not passing it on to those saving.

Re Bank of Ireland, AIB and PTSB have made €4 billion in profits in the first half of this year - tripling their profits from last year.
That’s because they have almost €60 billion on deposit with the ECB at an interest rate of almost 4%.

Landlords calling for tax breaks because otherwise they'll exit the market.
But when you suggest they sell if they want and state buys homes at market rate, providing asset for state, secure tenure for tenant and exit for landlord, they say, not like that.
