@ArdentArchivis1 @KateNicholl Tis. Heartbreaking when this posturing impacts innocent people like wee Dáithí. Bless his wee soul - he and his family deserve so much better.

RT @PMcReynoldsMLA: This is why having Government matters. Legislation impacts and touches lives, it’s important and takes time to implement.

It is a disgrace we currently have nothing, and people like young Daíthí and his family suffer as a result.

RT @LittleOldMG: Great to visit @DreamschemeNI youth club with @MichelleGuy4.
Chris discussed his big plans for the group. Two weeks in and they had around 50 kids, hangout out and planning the future of the group.

RT @CllrSamNel: Tonight’s council meeting started with a really heartfelt appeal from Mairtin McGowan to appeal for secondary legislation to be passed to enable Daithi’s Law. Aptly described as the gift of life. No one should be allowed to block that - it’s too importabt @Donate4Daithi

RT @connieegan94: Dáithí and his family have run an exceptional campaign; they shouldn’t have to keep fighting. This life saving legislation needs implemented now. 💖

People think political institutions collapsing doesn't matter.

The law on non-fatal strangulation and sentencing increases for it needed the Assembly to pass.

I did it to protect women from this experience, but had we had an Assembly before 2020, it would be operational by now.
RT @WomensAidNI: Thank you to ⁦@everosatoTV⁩ ⁦@BBCNewsNI⁩ for covering such an important issue today. Non-fatal strangulation: 'I could feel a crushing around my neck' - BBC News https:…

RT @JennaMaghie: I've followed @Donate4Daithi's campaign for the last five years. Listening to his dad tonight was so moving, he shouldn't have to make this speech though. We should have a functioning Executive ensuring this essential piece of legislation progresses.

RT @sianalliance: Please be careful sharing speculation online that could have the potential to impact any future legal proceedings. I know that everyone I have spoken to lately wishes for nothing more than but please, please don’t jeopardise it by sharing things publicly

RT @CllrMichaelLong: Eventually, was allowed to put a proposal for reduced rates at BCC. We lost to the DUP/SF/UUP/PBP. We felt £500k was a worthwhile cut to spending.

The Assembly can’t change the protocol. What the Assembly *can* do is legislate - for Dàithí & for others.

RT @ClaireHackett_: Tonight I attended an internet safety session for parents at @AcademyDgn delivered by @waynedenner. I was afraid I’d leave even more freaked out, being a technophobe, but it was an excellent session with small, practical steps we can take to help keep our children safe online.

For this reason, I have compiled a newsletter with a round-up of my work in the past month! If you have any queries or issues I can assist with, please get in touch! 💛

@Donate4Daithi @MalMccann @chhcalling @moneillsf @J_Donaldson_MP @columeastwood @RobbieButlerMLA @NIOgov So utterly depressing that our political system has failed you and wee Dáithí. I'm gutted for you all.

He's an inspiration, as are you. Keep the faith and we'll do all we can to keep the pressure on to get this done for your wee man and others like him x

@MarkSparky210uk @wwmccrues @PoliceServiceNI @NIPolicingBoard @PoliceFedforNI I support reasonable use of force: that's determined by a review when firearms are deployed, and batons can be used to disarm people, btw.

They are professional officers, so I'm not going to play armchair officer and second-guess their judgement.

They've my respect & support.

@RAPringleLait @GrahamMegennis @ashleyljames Expenses are capped already: building, maintaining, and securing centralised accommodation could be more expensive.

650 people are not significantly impacting the housing crisis: that's down to government inaction and poor planning.

@wwmccrues @PoliceServiceNI @NIPolicingBoard @PoliceFedforNI The police have a baton and a firearm. I'm not second-guessing their professional judgement in deploying those or not in each cicrumstance; however, the use of reasonable force to defend oneself is not "retaliation" which would not be reasonable use of force.
