@HornerMark12 @DavidBoland4 No. Those who were given letters were never convicted of any crime. In fact to get a letter, you had to be assessed as not being wanted in connection with any incident by the police. Releasing the names of people who haven't been convicted and aren't wanted would be wrong.

@SuperGD6 It's not an issue I faced in the Dept of Justice. Our civil servants were fantastic and delivered a huge amount for a small team. Our challenge was managing vacancies due to not backfilling posts.
More widely, that's for Dept of Finance and Head of Civil Service to address.

@JohnMar90718642 No, they stopped money we did have being redistributed between Departments. That meant we couldn't prioritise across the Executive where money was spent. Some departments were doing things that whilst worthy, were non essential, whilst others couldn’t meet their statutory duties.
@DavidBoland4 They were effectively rescinded by a statement in Parliament by then Secretary of State, Theresa Villiers, back in 2014. Her statement followed an inquiry by the NI Affairs Committee: you can read my contributions via Hansard.
