@DavidMa91732333 Let's ask @DavidFordxMLA if he agrees with your analysis...

As Party President, I doubt it, but I'll let him respond for himself.

@trevormartin136 @coleynumber1 We have wanted the UK to live up to its international obligations. That means either implementing the deal they negotiated and agreed or renegotiating a better alternative with the EU.

Breaking the law ought not to be an option. Saying so ought not to be controversial.

@trevormartin136 @coleynumber1 I used the phrase once in a letter.

But "roaring"...okay 🙄

@buzzhornet @Tolstoy1999 Nearly everyone pledged to pay back. Not everyone did.

And as I said, it's a messy way to do business so I won't be doing it again.

In fairness, our preferred solution to being paid for doing part of the job would be to do all of the job. Sadly, we're prevented from doing so.

@scottieboy32 It didn't. We have. And the protocol therefore doesn't either.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@spendango1 Lol. The protocol is part of the Brexit arrangements and is also a reserved matter, to which cross-community consent rules do not apply. If you believe in democracy, get over it. The majority support the protocol.

@Aldamir So lack of cross-community support for Brexit was no big problem?

(Brexit and the Protocol are comparable as they are both international relations and reserved matters, to which cross-community consensus rules do not apply, before you tell me it was a UK-wide vote).

@buzzhornet @Tolstoy1999 I've said it isn't sustainable and called for a cut, which is now happening.

I paid back the payrise from 2020, as did colleagues, up to the last election, as pledged.

I'm not intending to do that for this larger sum as it isn't practical: it needs deducted at source.

RT @PaulaJaneB: It is and @asthmalungni has published its first annual COPD survey.

42,000 people in NI live with COPD, which causes extreme breathlessness. It is often caused by smoking but also by air pollution or exposure to harmful substances at work.

@Tolstoy1999 My department?

Firstly, I'm no longer a minister.

Secondly, my former department had no power of arrest.

Thirdly, we have no power of arrest in other jurisdictions.

RT @NIPrisons: Hydebank welcomed @NIRibbon who delivered an awareness session for to a group of young men in our care. Several of those who attended took the pledge and signed the charter to never commit, condone or stay silent about violence against women and girls.

Same government is pushing through a legacy bill which has zero support from any party here.

And Brexit itself which had no cross-community support.

A bit of consistency might help, here.
RT @DarranMarshall: NI Protocol Talks : @JamesCleverly : I regularly say to @MarosSefcovic that I’m not going to say yes to proposals that don’t have cross-community support in Northern Ireland because they just won’t stick,

RT @allianceparty: The continuing lack of clarity surrounding much-needed energy support payments for households in NI is totally unacceptable, says @Kelmba

This chaos and ill-management could have been avoided had an Executive been in place.

@Earthwormal @PaulaJaneB @BASW_NI @BBCgmu But the other parties (and majority of voters) don't want it scrapped. What happened to democracy?

Change it - yes, but scrapping it would be a disaster (and businesses have been clear about that).

In any case, it's up to the UK and EU what happens, not the Assembly.

@NIPrisons Brilliant work as always to support parents and their families through their time in prison. Keep up the good work!
