@ToTravelIsToLi1 @newsoncool @allianceparty We proposed these reforms first during the last suspension when we were the 5th rather than 3rd largest party; in that case, it wouldn't have affected us at all.
I know it's hard to believe, but some of us actually put the best interests of our people before party interest.
@ToTravelIsToLi1 @newsoncool @allianceparty Our reforms maintain the right of each party to take the job to which their mandate entitles them. It simply removes their right to block formation of government.
When we didn't enter the Executive, it continued. Same for UUP and SDLP. Same should apply to all parties. >

All we want to be in a position to do is the job we were elected to do. Not an unreasonable expectation.

That has got to stop.
@Mawn_said @newsoncool @allianceparty No. We are not. We have operated the institutions (which we said at the time were flawed) in good faith. We have proposed reforms that would reflect a changing society and the need to end this stop-go ransom politics, so we can deliver our best for people.

@Redeyes1878 @DarranMarshall No, we didn't. We voted against the protocol and actually supported alternatives which the DUP tanked.
And reform of the institutions, far from taking a wrecking ball to them, is the only way they can survive. A cycle of ransom politics is eroding all trust and confidence.

We said clearly that reform is not a precondition for us going into government but it needs to be prioritised. It is essential to stop the constant cycle of collapse and crisis.
People deserve sustainable government and only reform will provide it.

Otherwise, we'll be back here in a year - 18 mths. That's not a sustainable way forward for the people of NI.
