@long_friday @MichaelHegart13 @cjcam85 @gaelmag @paulmurphy68 @DalFiatach @EireNua_Think32 @politicsIN @irish_news It says there must be the likelihood of change. If there isn't a nationalist majority, that's hard to demonstrate: however, the decision will be made by the SoS.

I've already said clarity on the conditions for that would be welcome.

RT @PatrickBrownMLA: Great to meet with Steven Agnew of @RenewableNI to discuss policy in NI and the challenges facing the sector if we are to meet Climate Act targets by 2030.

In addition to good policy, we need gov departments who can respond with pace and efficiency to implement changes.

RT @PatriciaOLynn: There is no back up plan, offer of service provision or support to help parents deal with this short fall.

In the middle of , it is completely unacceptable for working families to be left behind in such a dismissive way.

RT @PatriciaOLynn: 130 children registered to use the bus to and from the primary school in Glenravel.

Yday, parents received an email/text to say the service wouldn’t run today/tomorrow.

Parents have had to take leave, beg employers for leniency or lose income just to get kids to school 1/2

@RichardJGrant @IrelandoIreland @paulmurphy68 @DalFiatach @EireNua_Think32 @politicsIN @irish_news Richard, that's not the case or we wouldn't have been at previous IF events or engaged on the issue more widely.

If nationalists genuinely want everyone to engage in this conversation, Twitter pile-ons and snide, dismissive commentary about their position aren't the way to go.

@MichaelHegart13 @cjcam85 @gaelmag @paulmurphy68 @DalFiatach @EireNua_Think32 @politicsIN @irish_news If Nationalism is a majority, that is what the GFA says will happen. Being the largest minority doesn’t indicate constitutional change is likely, which is the test for any SoS.

@Bogsideandproud @gaelmag @paulmurphy68 @DalFiatach @EireNua_Think32 @politicsIN @irish_news That's not true. We've engaged with IF before and probably will again: that participation depends on how the discussion is framed.

We're not opposing any democratic process or discussion.

@annie_mcginley @rubytuesday566 @mandoon_skunk @paulmurphy68 @DalFiatach @EireNua_Think32 @politicsIN @irish_news Which goes to show that contrary to what people are clsiming we are willing to engage.

The issue is how the conversation is framed.

@MichaelHegart13 @cjcam85 @gaelmag @paulmurphy68 @DalFiatach @EireNua_Think32 @politicsIN @irish_news Nationalism and Unionism are both minorities already: our position applies just a readily irrespective of which is the larger.

@MichaelHegart13 @drdougridge @paulmurphy68 @DalFiatach @EireNua_Think32 @politicsIN @irish_news @allianceparty It's not about confidence in our position: the discussion isn't framed that way.

@gael_gunner @paulmurphy68 @DalFiatach @EireNua_Think32 @politicsIN @irish_news @Kelmba That's not what she said. Our position has ways been that building a united community is our priority.

We've never said that is to the exclusion of engagement in discussions: that's why we've engaged before and will again with IF events.

@paulmurphy68 @DalFiatach @EireNua_Think32 @politicsIN @irish_news We didn't attend protocol rallies either, so not sure what they've got to do with it.

We've attended IF events before and no doubt will in future: this one wasn't framed as an open discussion but a pro UI event.

That's grand, but not one for us.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@RichardJGrant @paulmurphy68 @DalFiatach @EireNua_Think32 @politicsIN @irish_news No, we aren't. Anyone who wants can attend.

We're snubbing no-one: we've attended IF events before and no doubt will again. This is one that was framed differently to others, and the organisers were aware of our views and understand our position.
