I've been in Alliance since 1995 and in a leadership role since 2006: the party really hasn't changed its fundamental position, other than now it's more successful electorally.

That requires agreement with the EU to provide sustainability, clarity and legal certainty: unilateral action is not an answer.

Reduced checks have always been an option, either via enhanced information sharing or a bespoke UK-EU Veterinary Agreement, both of which we promoted as potential solutions.
