I'm beyond being surprised by the level of sectarian hatred in this society: however, this is utterly vile and completely unacceptable.
We need to focus on how we intend to root out this cancer at the heart of our community.
It destroys lives and corrodes freedom and peace.

@wee_cuppa @51Batman @WJProgressive @mooreholmes24 @StephenFarryMP It's part of an ongoing inquest and, as such, I cannot comment as it is part of live court proceedings. To do so could jeopardise the inquest, any criminal investigation flowing from it and would be contempt of court.

@thepr1ce1 @Kane40079247 @JimAllister @moneillsf @SDLPlive I was interviewed due to the personal nature of the effigies burned, also why my colleague invited other party leaders to condemn the targeting of female leaders. Neither applies in this case.
However, if you want a condemnation from SF, their reps are on here. You can ask them.

You're also mixing up the Fleadh with Féile. Also, the Wolfe Tones gig isn't subsidised by Council. Other parts of Féile are - but not that event, nor is the choice of band one we support.

@kingbrianconnor Respect your view. I don't think it's about forgetting: I think some perhaps focus on other ways to make their views on the issue known.

The Ulster Fleadh, despite this not being at an even they organised, have issued a robust response to this which I very much welcome.
