@normanelliottuk @WrecklessGamer @BBCJayneMcC Norman, you made a cheap jibe on public finances and implied that MLA/SpAd pay cuts would fill the void.
It made no sense, despite you claiming to be an accountant, who one would expect to have a better understanding of the figures.
It's entirely reasonable to point it out.

The point is that women shouldn't need to be exceptional to participate.

If you can't see 3 wks is an inadequate length of time for a new mum to nurture and bond with a newborn without work intruding or that employment laws for everyone else should apply to elected reps, I'd be wasting both our time explaining it.
