@TonyStillHere25 @ninnythebear @westie1988ie @mandy_mcauley It does. People are too afraid to even make contact for fear of having to give evidence in court: special measures can provide protection but they may not know that.

I've asked people to contact Crimestoppers: it's confidential and helps police apprehend those responsible.

@irvine_pat @Barnabybear70 @CapitaPlc @JimAllister Happy to see if I can help - email in bio.

I know there've been delays, though most are due to people waiting a formal diagnosis or a panel review, rather than a Capita assessment.

Sadly, the information required was set out in law by the UKG so there's no flexibility at all.

@pbmosligo @allianceparty There is a vicious cycle: without evidence and cooperation of victims, police struggle to prosecute; in the absence of successful prosecutions, people see the risk of reporting not worth it.

We need to protect those who report and ensure those who are guilty are made accountable

@ninnythebear @westie1988ie @mandy_mcauley Well, you clearly don't follow my account or media as I raised it publicly, which is why I received abuse on here and via email.

@ninnythebear @mandy_mcauley No, because that makes it party political to some people, which it isn't.

The Department worked directly with victims in designing the ads to ensure the messaging was both accurate and accessible.

Getting help to them is the priority.

RT @mandy_mcauley: During the pandemic many received free food parcels delivered by volunteers. Several orgs & individuals told Spotlight some volunteers in a number of loyalist areas were loan sharks in disguise. They went back to vulnerable households offering cash loans people are still repaying

RT @mandy_mcauley: Former justice minister @naomi_long told Spotlight that during lockdown food banks & chuches alerted her to evidence of people being targeted for loans by some food parcel volunteers. She says she told police & spoke out but received abusive messages & was called a liar by some.

Water still hasn't receded in places, and families are still without food, shelter, and healthcare, so the appeal continues.
