@twc52 @BarnBangor @allianceparty @AndrewMuirNI It's the difference between primary legislation and regulations.

@kevinpbreslin They sadly could. Which is why we need reform. Government can't be a revolving door.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@BenWall64102364 @PurpleStandard @irish_news You mentioned legislative powers: I neither mentioned nor hinted at them.

They're already consulted and engaged on areas of N/S cooperation - if you think that won't continue at Govt level, without our input, you're deluded.

@NornEye @StephenFarryMP @Kilsally @allianceparty Tell you what. You say what you want. We'll say what we want.

Seems reasonable.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@Roz5821 @MrRCain2 @allianceparty This kind of trolling does nothing to engage anyone.

Utterly pointless.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@BenWall64102364 @PurpleStandard @irish_news Who said legislative powers? I said a role.

And that it would happen in the context where the GFA wasn't able to function.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@AMontyspurs @Redeyes1878 No. It doesn't and it won't be scrapped.

We left the EU. That means checks and market surveillance have to happen somewhere.

We can reduce and minimise the impact but it's the rules we put in place for 3rd countries when we were in the EU.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@gonefishingaga @Redeyes1878 Not confusing at all. When government signs a deal with the EU and makes it law, they should implement what they agreed.

If they want to do something else, they need to agreed that change with the EU first.

That's exactly what we've said all along.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@DownOrangeMan @StealersWheels I haven't insisted on reform before going into the Executive now, either: I have said it needs to happen, not made it a precondition.

I criticise consistently those I feel are responsible for playing games with people's lives. Right now, it's the DUP: when it's SF I say so.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@StealersWheels You couldn't find them doesn't mean we didn't challenge them.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@ONIP1966 @allianceparty @LeoVaradkar @MichealMartinTD I think they'll be more than capable of recognising the difference between promoting it and acknowledging it may well happen if there's no Assembly.

And of seeing who will be responsible for that happening.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@NornEye @StephenFarryMP @Kilsally Why? It's not as though he's a particular authority on the issue?

We have raised our own concerns consistently and will continue to do so.

@mrmarkhenry @AwareNI @awarenikaren @MHC_NI @profsiobhanon @lisburnccc @NIMentalHealth @MHM_NI @Ed_Authority @ETI_news @GRobinsonDUP @Joanne_Bunting @DavidBrooksMLA @Sharon_Skillen @Lowrysharon1 So well deserved! Congratulations!

@PurpleStandard @irish_news So this is a terrorist threat which you are communicating online?

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@Redeyes1878 We have indeed lobbied for change and have continued to discuss our proposals (some of which have been deliver) with the UK, Irish and EU leads.

You honestly need to pay better attention to our position.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@Redeyes1878 @irish_news You heard of the Anglo-Irish agreement? There's been Irish involvement in Northern Ireland since.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@StealersWheels We said exactly the same thing then: we need institutions in place and we need reform.

Check - it's all on the record.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

RT @allianceparty: Even if the Executive is restored, without reform of the institutions we put ourselves at risk of ending up in this stalemate all over again. No one party should be able to bring it all down.

Listen below as @NualaMcAllister argues for reform on @BBCNolan:

I say Sir Jeffrey Donaldson should "reflect" on whether to drive the institutions off a cliff next week amid current Westminster "instability"...

The DUP have the power to prevent further chaos here.

They are not passengers in this slow-motion car crash: they're at the wheel.
RT @brendanhughes64: DUP leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson says NI secretary Chris Heaton-Harris should "reflect" on whether to call a snap Stormont election amid…

RT @AndrewMuirNI: My letter in the @codownspectator this week. It's long past time we moved on from ransom politics and got Assembly and Executive up and running now.
