@d_lockets @Redeyes1878 Scrapping it won't give us continued access to the single market which is a major advantage to NI economy. It would trigger a trade war, which would further damage our economy. So we don’t support that.
We need UK-EU agreed reform, which is what we've proposed.

We have supported reform.
However, we do not believe that Govts should break international law or unilaterally abandon agreements.
Our objective is that they implement what they agreed until they reach a mutually agreed alternative.

We supported the backstop which the DUP tanked.
We've also proposed deliverable changes to the protocol to reduce its impact while maintaining dual market access,
All while not having caused the problem or walking out of Govt.
@StephenDundas12 And I agree this govt is untrustworthy.
But you will never get a better opportunity to get a deal over the line. A new PM will not be an ERG pick or as sympathetic on this and a new Government will be even less so...
